  Worst dmv I've ever been to in my life and I'm from Memphis, TN! I've never seen people so inept at their job. They must hate their lives and jobs, seeing as they value no one's time. They spend time chatting and on their phones more than helping people. They should be fired or at least need a supervisor at all times. Also what is the point of getting here over 30 minutes early before it even opens and getting a number in the order you arrived, to only have random people called?

  Staff seem incredibly uninformed and are extremely unhelpful. Needed to transfer a out of state title to louisiana, and despite the title already having been transferred to me theu insisted i had to get it retransferred to myself and then also transferred to louisiana. When i tried to point out that it already was transferred to me they insisted i was wrong and that it wasnt and actually got angry with me trying to explain. The kicker is that when she asked for the title i handed it to her only for her to insist it was NOT the title until i pointed out the word TITLE in bold print on the document, so i dont really think she knows what shes talking about if she doesnt even recognize a title. They also insisted the fee would be over $400 which was more than a third of what i paid for the car and double what i paid for my previous car after having moved to louisiana with it. So clearly some of that was probably a "tip" for her... Also beware they dont wear name tags or have names on desks to prevent any responsibility on their part!

  People who deal with the public are expected to have a certain degree of professionalism, especially in state operated facilities. That doesn't exist here.

  Every time I have gone here, I sit at least 4 hours. Even though I ask about my transaction upon arrival, staff always seems to have a problem helping me. I have too much going on to waste a day sitting there for them not to be able to perform transactions. They are understaffed, unknowledable, and unmotivated.
